How Madison stopped turning to sugar to support sleep deprivation
What message you’d love to give to other Mums out there that don’t believe they can change?
The main thing the program has helped me with is my mood. I am a lot more calm and am no longer turning to sugar to support my sleep deprivation and stress levels. I also have more respect for my body and am interested in caring for myself with the right foods.
To be honest I wasn’t planning on doing this program and was ‘just looking into it’ because it is a very difficult time for my family. My mother in law is dying, so we are traveling to be with her, I have a baby, a toddler and we are having renovations. I thought how can I be so selfish with my time and our money at a time like this. Then during my phone call with Kelly, she explained that there are always challenges in our lives and said they could extend the program if I needed to because of my mother in law. To my surprise both my mother and husband were very supportive of me doing the program, even though It would cost our money and my time.
What you enjoyed most about the program?
Now I am so relieved I did the program! I was shocked to see how big I had gotten after I took the initial photos. I’d hate to think how I would’ve handled this difficult time otherwise. The 1st week was hard and to be honest, I would have given up if I was on my own. What kept me going is thinking it’s only 8 weeks¡ such a short amount of time and yes my I’ll have wine and chocolate again but now it’s a choice rather an impulse.
I very quickly made the money back I spent (through not buying take outs). We now spend a lot less money on food, the whole family is healthy, I am a better mother, wife and role model. I have more respect for myself and am better at coping with my emotions.
Honestly I can’t thank Cathy and Kelly and my husband enough¡
My favourite thing about the program is the support from the other mums and coaches, it’s a really nice and positive environment and it was fun too!
