How Tamsyn lost 20 kgs in 8 weeks!
What message you’d love to give to other Mums out there that don’t believe they can change?
Before starting this programme I had just given birth to my 3rd child in 3 years and knew that I needed to get serious about my current situation.
I hadn’t been to a gym for over 3 years let alone exercised and knew virtually nothing about nutrition. My 2 toddler boys were draining me of the little energy I did have, and with my new baby girls arrival the pressure to perform at literally all hours of the day, made me feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, lonely and especially conscious of my future.
I felt really heavy, unmotivated and actually just ugly. I couldn’t do any proper pushups, felt out of breath doing basic chores and that made me feel even more down about my predicament.
I knew I needed to become healthier but didn’t have a clue how to start while being stuck at home with 3 under 3.
I couldn’t seem to find any fitness programmes that could allow me to workout while being a stay at home mum with young kids.
This was a key factor because as a mum of more than one child, life can get really hectic quickly and I was living this very different and difficult life late in my thirties.
I recalled that about a year ago I had seen an article on Kelly Rennie and knew she had a programme that had to do with being a mum.
When I got a call about the programme I had forgotten I’d even filled the form in so I took that as a sign that it was meant to be for me.
By week 3 my skin was so much softer, smoother and clearer. Week 4 my clothes started to fit better and week 6 people started to notice.
What you enjoyed most about the program?
The best thing about these past 8 weeks is that not only has my entire outlook on life changed, but I get to dress up my new body, dance around with my kids (big deal for me) and I take joy in wanting to be active with them every day.
I haven’t been this small since my teens and I know that it’s also because I have been holding on to years of negative experiences and programming. This is why I believe this programme has worked so well, because it focuses on every aspect of being a mum and helps you in all areas of your life. It’s not just a workout programme and I owe my new and improved life to busy mum fitness x
I’d love other mums to know that you do not have to live a life as a slave to your negative thoughts and emotions about your body and your life. If you really work on learning to love yourself and put yourself first as the deserving being that you are, things will begin to fall into place.
Also my numbers were 98 kgs starting and 78 kgs finishing up…I’ve kept exercising and healthy eating and feel like I’m getting smaller and smaller each day..very happy x
