Meal Prep Tips For a Busy Mum

Nothing is demanding for a gorgeous busy mum like meal preparation on a day that was tight and with lots to do. A busy mum has lots to do, and that is why she is referred to as a busy mum. There is breakfast to prep, kids to prepare, housework to do, and office work to do for at least 8 hours in the day.
But I have some great tips when it comes to meals preparation that will help you galore. You will get plenty time to spend in the workplace while completing projects, attending to sick patients, and hammering reports. These tips will assist you in planning ahead of the meals and making great cuisines for your family even on your weight loss journey as a mum.

1. Keep the Basics In Bulk:
All of us have got some ideas of staples that we ought to keep on hand. For most people, it is eggs, protein powder, greens powder, fruit, and spinach. You will run to the kitchen and cook some eggs after a hard workout. At times, you grab some protein powder after a busy day. Therefore, you should buy them in bulk and preserve for the week. This trick will ensure that you don’t have to run to the store or supermarket mid-week.

2. Unload and Go:
While unloading your groceries, consider keeping some few things out to prepare, such as veggies and fruit. You should go ahead and rinse them, maybe in the sink, so that they are good to cook when you need them. You can slice and preserve onions, peppers, and cucumbers in advance for the week. Prepare anything that can be preserved in advance.

3. Batch Cooking:
You must have heard this, maybe during chats-times at the boardroom. Although, these days, there is only a few things that you can batch cook! I know you won’t tell me to batch-cook scrambled eggs! Although, find out the meals that you can batch cook and preserve them. You can try the chicken and some veggies.

4. Making Extras:
When cooking for two people, ensure that the meal can serve four. Ensure that your meal recipe can serve six when cooking for four. The reason behind this trick isn’t to allow you to eat more, but to preserve some portions that you can grab and take afterward or in the next day. You will have food for lunch time in the next day or two.

5. Letting Someone Else Do the Cooking:
You might end up trying all the above tips but still feel that you have a “tight” schedule for other important roles in the workplace and home. The next step should involve letting another person do the meal preparation for you. For example, for convenience, you can use a few coins to get food for lunch time at the workplace. You can grab food like kale chips at the store.
