Single Mum loses 10cms Off waist
What message you’d love to give to other Mums out there that don’t believe they can change?
Before starting the 8-week busy mum lifestyle change I was struggling to maintain healthy eating and any set form of exercise. I wanted to reset my eating and find a motivation to move my body – but with limited time due to full-time study and being a single mum, it wasn’t happening. I was getting more and more depressed with my situation and with no tools to help I just keep reaching for all those buttery, sugary, processed foods. BUT, one week into the program I had exercised six days straight and ate the healthiest yummiest food ever. Sure there were moments of wanting the scone and hot chocolate, but with the online support and tips, I was able to and still am avoiding food that was not beneficial for my body. A huge shock to me was that over the eight weeks I lost no weight, some weeks I weighed slightly more – but in the first four weeks I had lost 10cm from my waist and 3 cm from my thighs. Thank god I took photos because at the end of the program I was blown away in my transformation. I’m so stoked that I committed to this program. I have learnt and gained so much, and most of all my self-talk is about kindness not shaming. The workouts and menu plans take away any extra thinking, I mixed matched the vegetarian and Indian menus, which suited my son as well – who also now workouts with me in the morning and gives me technique tips on my squats 🙂
What you enjoyed most about the program?
If you are considering this plan but are unsure if it’s for you – I say YES it is, its great for everyone, I have completely changed how I buy food, how I prep for the week, how much I have come to appreciate myself. Oh and not to forget the peachy bum and abs. There is no quick fix or a magic pill to lose and keep off weight, but there is busy mum fitness which provides 24/7 support, guidance, encouragement, community and a life time of tools to keep you going. I’m still eating well, I’m still working out, and I’m working towards getting stronger and fitter – weight loss seems to be a bonus of being happy within one’s self.
