Single Mum Loses a total of 47 cms
What message you’d love to give to other Mums out there that don’t believe they can change?
I’m a solo mum of a teen with an intellectual disability and work full time. Before the program I was best friends with the cookie Tim at work. I was overweight, lacking energy and confidence, suffering from depression and having trouble sleeping. I’ve now lost almost 9 kgs and a total of 47cm lost, am sleeping much better, have more energy and feel happier when I look in the mirror, and I love cooking again instead of just putting stuff from the freezer into the oven. Also, my sons acne and attitude improved immensely and he’s been keen to try new foods (most days).
My advice would be don’t be scared to give it a go – love yourself enough to take that first step. Push through that first week and things start falling into place. Tell people you are around often (work colleagues etc) what you are doing as I found them super encouraging and helped keep me accountable. Be organized too – the meal plans are worth their weight in gold – knowing what you’ll be cooking when you get home is invaluable. use the Facebook page a lot – share, be accountable, encourage others. BUT don’t beat yourself up if you slip – you’re only human. Get back on track straight away and be consistent.
What you enjoyed most about the program?
What I liked most was threefold: the supportive online forum, the easy and delicious recipes and the simple but effective exercise.
