How Krissy lost a total of 13 kgs
What message you’d love to give to other Mums out there that don’t believe they can change?
I’m not a young mum, but I so wish I had seen this program some 20 years ago. After having my children I struggled with weight, I hated wasting those half eaten biscuits by the kids and I was finishing them off. I tried just about every diet there is and sometimes dieting pills, while I’d loose a few kgs I’d always put it back on plus some. I never found time for me, I was always focused on the family and in the end I gave up on my weight. 10 weeks ago for some reason on got on the scales and I was mortified to see I was over 100kg. A friend then liked a Busy mum posted, so I took the plunge.
It’s been an incredible journey, at first it’s hard, it does your mind in! How do you give up, gluten, dairy, sugar, caffeine and most importantly chocolate ( I ate chocolate everyday). The headaches and fatigue in the first week while the body detoxed was pretty intense, but I was committed to giving this my best shot. I learnt how to put me first, everyday I craved for the exercise and the high I would feel after. The food plans were simple and tasty and in the initial few weeks I stuck strictly to them, as the weeks have progressed I feel confident enough to try my own thing. I wasn’t sure how I’d fine the time in the morning before work to cook breakfast, cereal was just so easy, but you know what, I did.
What you enjoyed most about the program?
So what makes this different to what I’ve done in the past? It’s changed my thinking, it’s taught me how to look after number one, it’s made me feel so good about not only who I am but who I’m becoming. The support on Facebook not only from Kelly and Cathy but all the mums who are there doing the same thing really made a difference, when you feel flat just post it and someone is right there to prop you back up.
I’ve done the 8 weeks lost 12.9kg and 76cm and I look great. I’m not done yet but I’m on the right path heading in the right direction. I can’t thank Kelly and Cathy enough for providing the tools, but mostly I’m so proud of me as in the end it’s me who got the results.
