1. Give Your Body The Right Fuel
Carrying a child for 9 months takes a massive toll on our bodies, temporarily restricting what we can do and impairing our recovery process. Though this is unavoidable effect of pregnancy we can limit the negative side by choosing the right foods on a daily basis.
Consistent healthy eating is key. It will help you gain more energy, balance important and create a feeling of wellbeing. Make an effort to eliminate processed carbohydrates such as pasta, white rice, cereals, white bread and white potatoes as they will spike your insulin levels and encourage your body to store fat.
Instead eat plenty of vegetables, fruits and lean meats, as these will provide the nutrients you need to function optimally. Also, if you are breastfeeding it is essential you consume extra calories to help the production of milk. Consume complex carbs and healthy fats on top of the vegetables and meat and you and your baby will see the benefits in no time.
