Aimee lost 8.5kgs, Stopped Self sabotaging her health and fitness and Stopped being an emotional eater.
I used to always be very fit, healthy and active, then around 18 months ago, after failed IVF attempts, gynae issues,an unhappy marriage, a stressful job and my depression rearing its ugly head again, I began to slowly self sabotage my health and fitness. I thought that it wasn’t worth trying, as my husband didn’t show interest and I started to eat food that I wouldn’t normally eat, therefore, my fitness and regular exercise deteriorated. I stopped doing the things that I truly loved, like going to the gym, going for big bush walking adventures and my boot camp…I drunk possibly too much, well for me anyway, and was an emotional eater of sorts. I had also been addicted to sugar free Red Bull for ten years which I knew deep down was also having a huge impact on my health and well-being. It was often one a day and sometimes two just to keep me awake. This habit had initially started because of my working long hours and being a solo mother when my daughter was very young. I had to stay alert during nights when I would have to ferry her to hospital etc due to health issues, then it just continued from there, unfortunately.
I have always had huge issues over my self-confidence and body image. Due to this, I have had times of being way too skinny to a normal healthy weight for my height. However, in the past 18 months I put on weight and I started to feel just plain ‘blah!” I was booked into have a full hysterectomy and finally had a realisation, that NO! I don’t want to go through this operation, I don’t want these gynae pains and issues anymore, and the catalyst was, that I wanted to be a better role-model for my ten year old daughter. I wanted to feel good and improve my health and well-being not only for her, but, ME; not to appease my husband or anybody else. I actually never thought that I’d be able to rid my body of my daily Red Bulls, 2-3 coffees per day, a wine or two a few times per week and eating crap when I felt sad. Then, I saw the Busy Mums Programme, and thought that it’s now or never! I’ve never looked back! The eight week programme has been one of the BEST things that could have happened to me in more ways than one. I am happier, more confident, healthier, fitter, and I DON’T eat dairy, gluten and alcohol, and I feel GREAT! NO pain and no urge to drink a Red Bull ever again!
You are worth this! Do this challenge for YOU. Be your best self and don’t let anyone or anything get in the way of you achieving your goals. Your children and family will thank you for it, with your renewed energy and zest for life!
I loved the online forum and the support I received from my trainer and the other amazing, inspiring mums. The workouts are great and work! The food plans are really user friendly and can be adapted to prepare for your family too. I enjoyed creating new and healthier fitness and food habits, that I now want to continue.
I lost 8.5 kgs in total in the 8 weeks.
