How Nicky lost more than 34 cms

What were the things you suffered from before the program or your story in short (re weight, health issues, skin) and how has this changed?

 

Over Christmas I had family visit and basically ate all the wrong things and as it was the holidays so having a couple of glasses of rose per night. I put on 6.2kg!!

 

I have had most of my life a unhealthy relationship with food and I was a chronic meal skipper most of my adult life and stupidly thought not eating would save calories per day and survived of a caramel latte for breakfast and  drank 8 cups of tea a day and no water – the down side I had no energy, after school pick up I would snack on chocolate with another cup of tea, starving by dinner and in the evening kept snacking.

 

Last year I had IBS and reflux – which the specialist at the hospital said is down to diet! – After 8 weeks …Now completely gone no IBS no reflux!

 

What did you enjoyed the most about the program?

 

The program has made me feel important enough to feed myself properly and take time for me and take control of my eating  – sounds silly but we make sure our kids eat well but not us mums!

 

I loved being part of the journey with other mums we all helped each other and supported each other on the FB page, being accountable posting up my good days and bad days – and our coach was great answering a million questions about food, exercise and educating us why or why not something is good for us which was a real eyeopener, you never felt you had to figure things out by yourself, i am so pleased to be carrying on the journey with the UBM programme.

 

What message you’d love to give to other Mums out there that don’t believe they can change?

 

To other mums you have nothing to lose, its not as hard as you think, you will have the support and the guidance, you will amaze yourself what you can achieve in only 8 weeks, committing to an 8 week program does not mean you have to be perfect  I slipped up once or twice but that’s life the next day went back to eating well and exercise –  I didn’t let it derail me from the bigger picture, there will always be obstacles in the way, that party, that birthday that may stop you from starting ‘now’ but the bigger picture is you can still have a ‘life’ over the next 8 weeks and the results at the end will be so worth it.
